The Heart Behind BunnyBird
Hello! I’m Jessica, owner of BunnyBird Bakehouse, a woman-veteran-owned home microbakery lovingly named after my children, Gunny Bunny and Nerdy Bird.
Baking has been part of my life since childhood, when my mom would mix by hand and say, “¡Tú, no más, échale!” (“Just keep pouring, I’ll tell you when”) while we poured the ingredients. She didn’t always have the most patience with us but we laughed, made a mess, and always had fun. Those memories inspired the heart behind every treat I bake today.
Every Christmas, my boys and I bake hundreds of Delia’s Biscochitos, my mom’s original recipe, for teachers, friends, and family. Seeing people light up over a homemade treat is what drove me to build BunnyBird Bakehouse.
